Liver markers: six tests
Measures six blood markers used in liver investigations. These measurements can help investigate previously abnormal liver values or monitor them during treatment. Included: ALT, AST, GGT, alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin and albumin. A marker can change for more than one reason; the panel alone does not establish a diagnosis.

Can I request individual tests?
Yes. Search and select individual tests in the request form. If a test is not listed, enter its name as an additional wish. You receive availability and price information before collection.
Do I need to fast?
That depends on the selected tests. Follow the preparation confirmed for your appointment.
When will I receive my results?
After collection, your blood samples are analysed in a laboratory. This requires processing time, which depends on the tests selected and cannot be shortened. Please allow at least one working week for your results; some tests take longer. We send you the report by email once your results are available.
Does a request immediately become an order?
No. The contents, price and next step are confirmed first. Your request is not yet an order.
Is a consultation with a doctor included?
A consultation with a doctor is not a standard part of a request. You receive the laboratory report for the tests you have selected.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can request a package or individual blood tests at GC Lab without a GP referral.
Can blood tests tell me if I am healthy?
A blood test provides information about the values measured and is not a complete assessment of your health. Your report does not replace a medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment. If you have symptoms, concerns about your health or questions about the medical meaning of your results, please contact your GP. Do not delay seeking medical care while waiting for your results.
